but, Thy Ways,
for Thy Ways
are Pure
Thy Ways
are filled with Hope,
Thy Ways lift up
Thy Ways separate us
from sin
Thy Mercy keeps us
from stumbling into
the mirey floor
into the haughtiness
of our own natures
Keep me on the path of Righteousness
lead us to the Kingdom of Glory
Lord Jesus go before us with Your Banner
of Love,
Thy Cross,
is suffering Jesus
Thy Cross suffers
to bring us to the place
of suffering
where we see with Thine Eyes
and Thine Heart
the suffering of others
where we do not overlook
Mercy,
but Mercy is the Face
of Our Lord
adorn us with Thy Mercy Lord
a Mercy that others will see
Thy Cross
Thy Cross rejects this culture
Thy Cross loves the men You died to redeem
Thy Cross is a place of rest
Thy Cross is a place of separation
The place where we leave the world behind
The place where we ourselves begin to be crucified
to this world and the ways of this world
The place where The Holy Spirit
begins to speak,
“Lord, separate me from this world.”
