Let me pray
Let my mouth breathe
the pores of prayer
Let me bathe in prayer
place my broken will
In Your Perfect One
let prayer to You be gratitude
and adoration
i lay slain before You
desiring the discourse of prayer
i want my scars to be prayers
write your prayers on my skin
my eyes envision prayer
my footprints visit prayer
ears sensitive to requests for prayer
a heart that pumps prayer
i need prayer to survive
prayer is my pleasure
my adventure
my sacred duty
my promise to the ALMIGHTY i would
to stand on that wall vigilantly
and blow the trumpets of prayer
to protect my city gates
i plead the Blood of my Lord to seal
with protection
i pray as a priest at the temple
morning, noon, and night
i visit the secret places of prayer
i am summoned to prayer
in hours before the roosters crow
i go to the deep thoughts of prayer
the wind carries prayer
and the rain drops prayer from heaven
i hear prayers in children singing
in women weeping, and men cursing
there is prayer in humanity pressing
to be released
begging to be delivered
begging for holiness
i am covered in prayer
the blanket i sleep under
the Lord makes me a living prayer
i asked to be His Incense
to be spread before the Throne
of God as ashes
i asked to be a crucible of His prayers
the vessel poured out
to pour others inside this chalice
lifted to Our Lord
