to Praise my Maker
for His Glory

for when man fell
men lost the fellowship of GOD
except a few

ICHABOD
THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
what is my skin but a temporary
place to shelter my soul
in this earthen vessel are the treasures
of heaven

THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
men in their evil worshipped everything
but THE LIVING GOD
JESUS WHO CAME IN THE FLESH
AND ASCENDED
SEATED AT GOD’S RIGHT HAND

ICHABOD
THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
men preached every doctrine of demons
except for a few
humankind licked it up
the words were not bitter

ICHABOD
THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
the stench of man’s depravity
has filled the nostrils of GOD
men built temples to glorify Him
but really for their own self-righteousness
and sat themselves high on their man-made
thrones

ICHABOD
THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
God tabernacles with the begger
and with the child
with lepers and sinners
who fell at His Feet
weeping tears of self-loathing

ICHABOD
THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
God resists the proud
whose lifted up hearts
are offensive
He is angered at the way
men twist up His Words
to mean what they want

ICHABOD
THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
it departed because men continually
do evil
men do what is right in their own eyes
morality is to be measured by it’s culture

ICHABOD
THE GLORY HAS DEPARTED
men compromise the Name of the Most High
to their own puny ends
JESUS cannot be compromised not now
not ever
