death be not proud
instruments of execution
notes of suicide
gas chambers,
abortions,
creating corpses for the
glory of it

death be not proud
when arrogantly you
stand next to life
lie with murderous lips

and tell the serenity of it

death be not proud
with memorials to you
you falsely claim
when the grave cannot
hold the one who belongs
to Christ

death be not proud
with your abortion clinics
the new concentration camps
sterilizing death
to remove the stinch
of it

both you and your minnions
celebrate
illegitimate laws
in your slaughterhouses
when zombies perform
the unspeakable
in homage to you

death be not proud
boasting with a sinister
conviction
that you command
the fate of every age,
man, woman and no less
child,
yes, with brazen
swagger
you thrill how you
even exact the life
of the babe
not yet born
you take with
outstreched
arms of wirey greed

salivating what a victory!

death be not proud
not now not ever
Jesus will return
to throw you into
a death you are
not immune to

every innocent breath
you took will witness
the final execution
when Christ Our Righteousness

will humble you

so death be not proud.

“The sea gave up the dead who were in it,
and Death and Hades delivered up the dead
who were in them, And they were judged each
one according to his works.
Then death and Hades were cast into
the lake of fire. This is the second death.”
(Revelation 20:13-14)
